Care Instructions
Step Flex orthotics are designed to be simple to live with. With just a little care, they can continue performing well for many years to come.

A FEW THINGS TO AVOID
Protect them from heat
Step Flex orthotics can be damaged when exposed to temperatures above 50°C. Avoid hot water, microwaves, direct heat from a stove or fire, or leaving them behind glass in strong sunlight.
Heat damage is not covered by the Product Warranty, so please take care to keep your orthotics away from excessive heat.
Keep them away from pets
Dogs have been known to find Step Flex orthotics surprisingly appealing! Unfortunately, damage caused by chewing is not covered by the Product Warranty, so please keep your orthotics somewhere safe when they are not being worn.
Protect them from abrasion
Over time, sand, grit, rough seams and stitching inside your shoes can cause unnecessary wear to your orthotics. Always wear Step Flex on top of an insole. If you remove the original shoe insole, replace it with a simple flat insole before inserting your orthotics.
Wearing Step Flex directly against the base of the shoe can cause premature wear and damage, which is not covered by the Product Warranty.
WEAR THEM REGULARLY
Wear your orthotics regularly
Once you have completed the break-in process, regular wear helps your feet remain accustomed to your Step Flex orthotics and allows you to gain the greatest benefit from them. As they become part of your everyday footwear, most people find they become increasingly comfortable and simply move them from one pair of shoes to another.
Restoring the arch
For most people, the arch of the orthotic remains consistent throughout its life without any adjustment.
Over time, some orthotics may appear to flatten slightly. The video demonstrates how the orthotic can be gently flexed to temporarily increase the arch height if required.
This is not part of normal maintenance and is generally unnecessary, but we have included the demonstration for customers who would like to know how it can be done.
